Google announced on Aug 15th, 2006 its Analytics Service is available for anyone to use for free.

Once a webmaster or a do-it-yourselfer has installed a few lines of code on your web pages you can use the collected Analytics data to develop more accurate advertising, fine tune your customer’s web experience, and increase your return on your investment by converting more visitors into paying customers.
